RUNNING STR8NGTH00RUN FAR, FAST, AND STRONG! This is a strength training program designed for runners with the goals of improving performance and minimizing injury risk.
This program is a blueprint, so feel free to modify or adjust as needed. It's okay to swap things out, change the reps or sets, etc! If you feel like the workouts are "too easy" you need to be challenging yourself more with the loads (weights) you're using aka LIFT HEAVIER while of course keeping good form in mind. Please pay attention to the tempo and additional notes on the exercises. There is a heavy focus on eccentric training in this program and that is for a specific purpose. The core exercises can be done all together on their own 4th day, or split up throughout the week. For example, you can add 1 core exercise at the end of each of the 3 main workouts.
This program can be repeated, which may result in even greater benefits and performance improvements.
